My ADVANCE Program is a 5-week group coaching program for goal-oriented women who are looking to take their careers to the next level. I also offer my ADVANCE course to businesses and organizations who are committed to investing in the professional development of their Black women leaders.

GROUP COACHING FOR ORGANIZATIONS

My group coaching for organizations helps facilitate learning, dialogue and reflection. It’s an action-oriented process which enables participants to become more productive and collaborate effectively to benefit the organization. The ideal number of participants for this type of engagement is 3-10 individuals to ensure maximum impact.

GROUP COACHING CASE STUDY: POSITIONING A SMALL BUT MIGHTY TEAM TO GAIN BIGGER WINS

In 2020, the pandemic impacted organizations around the world. Remote work options became the norm as the safety of the workplace was called into question. Absenteeism increased, along with technology and communication challenges.

The Charlotte Firefighters’ Retirement System, which has provided benefits for more than 800 retired or disabled firefighters and their beneficiaries since 1947, weathered similar challenges. How do you support your team and encourage collaboration during a time of uncertainty and unprecedented change in the workplace?

Recognizing her team as the organization’s most valuable asset, the System Administrator viewed these global challenges as an opportunity to harness their power and emerge from the pandemic better and stronger. To help realize the Administrator’s vision to generate candid discussions and insights while tapping into the team’s strengths, Lisa Medley Executive Coaching (LMEC) hosted a series of group coaching sessions.

LMEC incorporated one-on-one interviews and used individual assessments to inform the process. LMEC also offered individual executive coaching to the System’s executive.

Working with LMEC over a period of six months, the group was able to develop new approaches to communication, giving and receiving feedback, and establishing new office norms. The System’s executive gained insights and fresh perspectives on ways to lead the team to gain bigger wins.
